DAY 2 - A GREAT DAY!
Lunch, overlooking the ocean, was in Williamstown, a quaint
suburb south-west of Melbourne city. For those, old enough to remember, Blue Heelers was filmed in Williamstown.
Next stop on our jam-packed itinerary was Scienceworks.
Lying back in the comfy seats of the Planetarium, we viewed Our Living Climate under a 16 metre
domed screen with surround sound. It was fascinating to learn about the evolution
of our planet. The simulated display of the night sky allowed us to enjoy the
wonder of the stars in a comfortable environment. Following the show, we had
free time to explore.
After a little downtime at the hotel, we headed into town
for dinner and a movie. While we were lucky to dodge the inclement weather, it
was a chilly, overcast day. However, tomorrow’s forecast is for a top of 10oC.
Our students have been exemplary role models. Teachers have
received positive comments from staff at Scienceworks and Hoyts theatre which makes
it a pleasure to travel with these young Grammarians.
